SCREENWRITERTELEVISION EDITOR

Born and raised in San Diego, California, as a youth David Katz has always loved writing short stories and screenplays. In 1996 David moved to Hollywood to pursue a career in Film and Television and became fascinated with the Post Production world. He learned that editing was a powerful tool in crafting stories, finding many similarities to writing. After five years as an Assistant Editor on many features and TV movies, he got the opportunity to edit a feature documentary called "Golden Rhodes" about lost Mormon gold and also a low budget horror movie called, "Centipede" about a toxic waste fueled 15-foot centipede. These experiences followed by his initiation into the reality tv world on the Fox show, "Paradise Hotel",  propelled David into a successful Television Editing career as the explosion of unscripted reality formats hit television and he was able to use his natural abilities as storyteller in the unscripted world with great success. For nearly two decades, David Katz has edited for the following clients including A&E, ABC, CBS, DISNEY, DISCOVERY, E! NETWORKS, FOOD NETWORK, FOX, FX, HGTV, LIFETME, LIONSGATE, OWN, MIRAMAX,  MTV, NBC, PARAMOUNT, TBS, TLC, UNIVERSAL and VH1, WWE as well as several independents. To check out his IMDb page CLICK HERE.
